Winstrol, also known as Stanozolol, is an anabolic steroid that was developed by Winthrop Laboratories in 1962. Anabolic steroids are synthetic and meant to mimic testosterone’s muscle building qualities. Stanozolol can also be known as Winny, Winsol, Winni, Azolol, and Stanol among other names. It is important to know other names that this drug is known under so you know that you are purchasing the correct steroid. Winstrol is available as an injectable or an oral tablet, as it does not get metabolized by the liver right away, like many other steroids that are only available by injection. The ability to take this steroid in tablet form makes this steroid unique.

Like many other anabolic steroids, Oral Winstrol provides numerous benefits to those looking to improve their physical strength. It falls squarely into the category of steroids used in cutting cycles. Cutting cycles typically do not include massive muscle growth in terms of size, and instead focuses on defining. Cycling these cutting periods, individuals can build a stronger and more fully rounded physique while also providing the body (and in particular the liver and the kidneys) an opportunity to recuperate.
The cutting cycle itself can be incredibly beneficial. At the same time, there can be issues that develop from its abuse, especially when anabolic steroids are used in competitions. While actively using the drug during the competition or performance that is being measured is not that common, many more people will use anabolic steroids during the off-season. As a result, some athletes have their cutting cycle correspond with the off-season, providing an opportunity to use certain illegal anabolic steroids without risk of being caught.
Winstrol has been used for animals as well as humans. The recorded effects include strengthening bones, increasing red blood cell count, improving hunger, and even dope horses illegally for competition purposes.
Winstrol is available as a liquid which can be administered via an intra-muscular injection, and in tablet form which can be easily swallowed. Unlike oral Dianabol Pills which has a short active life in the body, Winstrol is active to up to two days, and therefore there is no need in splitting your daily dosage of Winstrol to maintain stable blood levels. The daily dose can be consumed in one sitting.
It should not make much difference on what time of the day you orally consume the dose, but you may want to take it before a meal to try to avoid any slim chances of stomach upsets.
Winstrol cycle and dosage
Oral Winstrol cycle (i.e. those taking the drug via tablet form) would likely opt for a daily oral dose of 40-80mg. Dosages of 50-100mg are common for the injectable format of the steroid. Cycles tend to last 5-6 weeks in duration. Those new to steroid use and/or Winstrol would be best opting for the lower end of the dosage range, with the more experience users maybe opting for the upper end of the dose mentioned, or maybe surpassing it if they should decide to (although the extra benefits of such a dose will quickly diminish and be over-shadowed by the negative hepatotoxic nature of the drug i.e. it is harsh on the liver).
Winstrol is a popular steroid to stack with other anabolic steroids during a cycle. The compounds stacked with the drug will mainly be determined by the goals of the user, although many bodybuilders tend to use Winstrol for cutting phases (when the goal is to preserve lean muscle tissue whilst reducing body fat). Those looking to build muscle tissue may stack Winstrol with testosterone due to Winstrols ability to heighten the anabolic effects of the cycle whilst also adding no oestrogen side effects to the stack. On the other hand, stacking Winstrol with a drug such as Tren 75 is popular during a cutting phase where the user can accomplish a very hard and defined appearance whilst reducing bodyfat via cardio and diet.
It is worth mentioning that Winstrol has long been popular with track and field athletes (the ones that dope at least). The drug adds some lean body mass, but is very effective for those who do not wish to add much weight, yet add muscle strength and power. It is therefore popular among sprinters, jumpers and throwers.
How Does Winstrol Work?
As stated before, Winstrol is rare among anabolic steroids in that it manages to be resistant to the digestive tract, including being broken down by the liver. Be aware that the injectable steroid has the same internal structure as the oral steroid. Winstrol is popular in part because it binds with androgen receptors to then act on the body. Having a high affinity for binding to the sex hormone Binding Globulin (known as SHBG), you can have a pretty high level of Winstrol in your system improving the effects and synergy with other drugs.
The ability for Winstrol to produce protein is one reason why it is as popular as it is. It makes it specially suited for building lean muscle mass. This means you get hard muscles that also lead to fat loss through the illusion of becoming more trim and generally chiseled. Unlike other anabolic steroids, Winstrol is incapable (thanks to its molecular design) of turning into estrogen. What this means is that there is far less risk (if any) of estrogenic side effects. Things like breast growth are unheard of.
Side effects of Winstrol
Of concern to any user of Winstrol during a cycle should be its intoxicating effect on the liver. The drug is a 17aa structured steroid, meaning it has been structured in a way which allows it to be orally bio-available, yet this has the negative effect of making Winstrol potentially harmful to the liver. It is therefore paramount the duration of a Winstrol cycle is limited, the dose of the drug is not excessive, the user does not stack it with other hepatotoxic compounds, does not drink alcohol whilst on cycle, and does not use Winstrol if they have an underlying medical condition which effects the livers health. There are supplements available which also help protect the liver (Milk Thistle, Liv-52 etc), and these would be advisable during any Winstrol cycle.
